Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the OonDrop app or website to order food and groceries. OonDrop is run by AIIBLUE TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED ("OonDrop", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in India (CIN U72900TN2023PTC158287) with its registered office at No. 31A, Ground Floor, Dr. Seethapathy Nagar, 100 Feet Taramani Link Road, Chennai City Corporation, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600042, India.
By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cancellation and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use OonDrop.
1. What OonDrop does
- OonDrop is a platform. It shows you menus of restaurants and the products of OonDrop Mart, takes your order and payment, and arranges delivery by independent delivery partners, or pickup by you at the restaurant.
- Restaurants prepare the food and are responsible for its quality, safety, ingredients and allergen information. Each restaurant's FSSAI licence number is shown on its menu.
- OonDrop Mart products are sold by ROYAL CHOLA FOODS PRIVATE LIMITED (FSSAI licence 12426008000015), a company of the AiiBlue group, not by AIIBLUE TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED.
- Delivery partners are independent and not employees of OonDrop or of the restaurant.
2. Your account
- You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code sent on WhatsApp. Keep your phone safe; anyone with your phone can use your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or use OonDrop with the consent of a parent or guardian.
- Give true details: your name, phone number and delivery address.
- You can delete your account at any time (see section 10).
3. Prices, fees and taxes
Before you pay, the app shows the full bill. It can include:
- Item prices set by the restaurant or OonDrop Mart, with GST on food.
- Packaging charge set by the restaurant, with GST.
- Delivery fee for a delivery order, with GST. When restaurants in one cart share one delivery, an extra-store fee may apply for each extra restaurant. OonDrop Pass members get free delivery on eligible orders.
- Platform fee, with GST. It is charged once per cart, even when your cart becomes several orders (one per restaurant).
- Tip for the delivery partner, if you choose to add one. All of every tip goes to the delivery partner.
Prices and fees can change. The bill you confirm at checkout is what you pay for that order. Fees and their current amounts are set by OonDrop and may be different by area or time.
4. Placing and paying for an order
- An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when the restaurant (or OonDrop Mart) accepts it. A restaurant may reject an order, for example when items are out of stock or the kitchen is too busy; you are told the reason and refunded in full if you paid.
- You can pay by UPI, card, net banking (through Razorpay), from your OonDrop wallet, or by cash on delivery where offered. Scheduled orders and group orders must be paid online or from the wallet.
- A delivery is completed when you share the delivery code (OTP) with the delivery partner, or, if you chose "leave at my door" or "leave with security" on a prepaid order, when the partner takes a photo of the drop-off.
5. Scheduled, pickup and group orders
- Scheduled orders: you choose a time slot. You can cancel for a full refund until the restaurant starts preparing.
- Pickup: you collect the order at the restaurant and show your pickup code.
- Group orders: one host shares a link; each person adds items; the host pays for everyone or splits the bill. If not everyone pays in time, all paid shares are refunded.
6. Cancellations and refunds
See the Cancellation and Refund Policy. In short: you can cancel free of charge until the restaurant starts preparing; after that the order cannot be cancelled in the app. Problems with items can be reported in the support chat.
7. OonDrop wallet, Pass and referral
- Wallet: you can add money with UPI, cards or net banking, within the limits shown in the app. Wallet money can be used only on OonDrop, cannot be withdrawn as cash and earns no interest. Refunds and cashback may be added to it.
- OonDrop Pass: a paid membership that gives free delivery on eligible delivery orders for a fixed number of days. It does not renew by itself and is not refunded once bought, except where the law requires.
- Referral: if a friend joins with your code, they get a welcome coupon and you get a coupon when their first order is delivered. Coupons have a minimum order and an expiry date, and cannot be combined with other offers. We may stop a referral reward that is misused.
8. Calls and messages
- While masked calls are on, you and the delivery partner call each other through an OonDrop number, so neither sees the other's real number. Calls are not recorded.
- We send order updates by app notification and WhatsApp. You can turn off marketing messages at any time.
9. Your conduct
Please do not misuse OonDrop: no false orders, fake complaints or refund claims, abuse of delivery partners or restaurant staff, or attempts to break or copy the app. We may suspend or close an account that does so.
10. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app (Profile > Delete my account) or on our website. The account is removed after a grace period (currently 30 days); signing in before then cancels the deletion. Any wallet balance is forfeited and an active Pass ends without refund, as shown before you confirm. We keep order and payment records as tax law requires. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
11. Liability
- OonDrop is responsible for running the platform with reasonable care. The restaurant is responsible for the food it prepares, and ROYAL CHOLA FOODS PRIVATE LIMITED for OonDrop Mart products.
- To the extent the law allows, OonDrop's total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
- You agree to compensate OonDrop for losses caused by your misuse of the app, such as fraud, fake orders or false refund claims.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where the law allows; you can appeal through the Grievance Officer.
12. Complaints
Use the in-app support chat first. If you are not satisfied, contact our Grievance Officer (see the Grievance Redressal and Contact page). We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, the app shows the new version and asks you to agree before you continue.
14. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to your rights as a consumer, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.
